Anne and Dave "On Safari"

We took our African and Asian safari at the famous Wild Animal Park, just thirty miles north of San Diego, California.  We spent the whole day there and could have spent several days without running out of exotic sights.  Birds and some of the animals were in spacious enclosures we could walk among and even, in some cases, walk through.  But the most special sights were of vast fields of animals where the creatures roamed as though in their native lands and which we viewed from a monorail, in an hour-long guided tour.

I took about a hundred pictures and selected 28 to show in this website.  You can see all seven pages by clicking "Next" at the bottom of each page or go directly to a chosen page by clicking in the list below.

We can't now remember the names of all the creatures and will describe the various pages here in a simple manner.

1   Birdies
2   More Birdies
3   Lorrikeets and Primates
4   Ungulates
5   More Ungulates, and our Safari Train
6   Deer, Cattle and White Rhino
7   Miscelaneous
