Something lurking in the woods

Look closely in the left picture, and you will find the guy in the enlargement at right. This bull moose just lay there quietly chewing its cud while we stood on the path, about 15 feet away, gawking at it. We were poised to carefully retreat if he had shown the slightest irritation with us. This was along the Cabot Trail, in Nova Scotia, while walking the Skyline Trail.
